What is this blog about?

This coalition of folks are both community organizers in the SE Portland area and local parish pastors who have used the momentum of their previous work together to provide a summer of thoughts and conversation on the topics of salvation, scripture and society.

In the month of June we will be focusing on what salvation means from a Lutheran Pacific Northwest Perspective.  Then we will move to how we interpret scripture under that same lens during the month of July.  We will wrap up our discussions and weekly writings as we discuss the subject of society in the month of August.

Once a month conversations will be the pinnacle of these weekly writings.  All are welcome to gather on the fourth Wednesdays of every month to spend time in conversation around these subjects.

Here is the schedule:
June 28th:  6:00-7:30 (Salvation)
July 26th:   6:30-8:00 (Scripture)
August 23rd: 6:30-8:00 (Society)
